Memories of the Fans : The Move

I have been very lucky over the years to have met a few of the Brummies that have created the music I love so much. I met Roy Wood when he gigged in a town called Airdrie around 11 or 12 years ago. That was a double header to savour. Seeing my all time hero, Roy Wood, live, which I never ever thought I would do, and not only that the support act was Steve Gibbons doing a solo spot! I also spent a bit of time talking to Steve.

I met Trevor Burton, when he toured with his own band in Stirling about 4 years ago. A true pro and a brilliant guitarist. I met Bev Bevan after one of the “New Move” gigs in Glasgow. Ironically at the Pavillion Theatre which was just across the road from where the Apollo once stood.
